Akira Okada is Professor of Okayama University, Japan and an associate member of CIRP. He received his Doctor degree from Osaka University in 1998. His current research interests are non-traditional machining methods, including EDM, EBM, and laser machining. From 2003 to 2004, he joined the research group of Prof. McGeough at the University of Edinburgh as a visiting researcher and studied on new type of EDM circuit.
