Our focus in the morning will be to discuss the extent to which contemporary research is able to demonstrate the contribution and value of GSW practice in the various social welfare contexts represented in the SIG meeting. This discussion forum will be used as a basis for developing research priorities and exploring potential research collaborations. Our intention will be for the discussion to lead to a clear proposal for taking next steps in developing research collaboration amongst SIG members.
In the afternoon, we will work on developing a proposal for an invited edited collection intended to explore international contemporary issues, challenges, and opportunities for GSW practice, policy and research.
