Helen Brown is the Senior Statistician at The Roslin Institute, University of Edinburgh, and has a research interest in mixed models. She has over thirty years of practical experience as a statistician mainly in medicine and the biosciences. She has been employed within academia, the health service and the pharmaceutical industry.
Eleanor Allan is an Honorary Fellow at the Statistical Services Centre (SSC) at The University of Reading. she has over 25 years experience as a consultant statistician and trainer. Prior to joining the SSC she worked in the pharmaceutical industry, and has always maintained an interest in medical applications of statistics. Her main interests include mixed modelling, multilevel modelling, repeated measurements analysis and the design and analysis of experiments. She has previously presented courses on mixed models at the SSC and for the University of Edinburgh with Helen Brown.
